Mindanao flights cancelled

Bad weather forced the cancellation of Philippine Air Lines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific flights to and from the Mindanao cities of Cagayan de Oro and Butuan on Tuesday morning to early afternoon.

However, PAL said the weather had started to clear over Cagayan de Oro and PR 184 from there was expected to arrive at Terminal 2 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA 2) in Manila at 3:18 p.m., a delay of about an hour.

PR 183 was also delayed by about an hour and left Manila at 11:17 a.m. PR 185 departed Cagayan de Oro at 1:20 p.m.

The cancelled PAL flights were 181 for Cagayan and its return trip, PR 182, PR 1817 and 1818, which were supposed to be replacement flights for flights cancelled on Monday, and PR 281 and 282.

Cebu Pacific canceled the round-trip Manila-Butuan flights 5J785 and 5J786, the replacement flights 5J787 and 5J788, and Cebu-Butuan flight 5J223.
