Budget airline Bmi baby adds more Mediterranean routes from UK airports

In November 2008 we reported "Bmibaby the low cost division of BMI has cancelled flights to six destinations from Birmingham International and East Midlands".
Well how a few weeks and a recession changes things!! In a positive way...
BMI baby has announced that for the summer flying season there are to be EXTRA flights from East Midlands, Manchester and Birmingham to popular Mediterranean resort airports. In all BMI baby will add 24 additional flights each week. The increased capacity is on the Manchester to Palma-Majorca, East Midlands to Mahon-Minorca and Almeria on the Spanish Mainland and Birmingham to Murcia/Malaga/Alicante in Spain and Faro on the Portugese Algarve. The additional servicea will allow Bmibaby to carry up to 1600 extra passengers each week to summer sun destinations.
The airline reports extremely strong demand for it’s flights to these destinations and to ensure that demand is met have increased the frequency of existing flights as well as adding new destinations.
