American Eagle, the short-haul affiliate of American Airlines, is partnering  with Caribbean tourism officials to restore some 
flights from its San Juan,  
Puerto Rico hub to other islands in the region -- many of which had been slashed  as part of a cost-cutting scheme last fall. 
Beginning May 1, American Eagle will increase flight frequencies from San  Juan to Tortola, BVI; St. Thomas; St. Croix; Guadeloupe; Martinique; Trinidad  & Tobago; and Grenada. 
The increases will remain in effect for at least the high season and could be  retained year-round.
