Direct cheap flights to be available between Pasco, San Francisco

Tri-Citians will be able to fly nonstop to San Francisco from Pasco, thanks to the Tri-City Development Council and United Airlines.

United will offer twice daily roundtrips between the two cities on a 50-seat CRJ 200.

The two-hour flight will be operated by SkyWest Airlines. It’s scheduled to leave Pasco at 6:31 a.m. and arrive in San Francisco at 8:26 a.m., and at 4:35 p.m. for a 6:30 p.m. arrival in San Francisco.

The flight from San Francisco will leave at 8:54 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets for the new flights become available April 4, or by calling the United reservations line at 800-864-8331.

The direct connection will expand travel options for passengers and give them more access to United’s route network, said Mike Thompson, SkyWest's vice president of market development.

The new direct flight also will help promote economic development by providing easier access to and from the Bay Area particularly, said Carl Adrian, president and CEO of TRIDEC.

The council worked with the airlines to make the Pasco-San Francisco service happen. Many of TRIDEC’s member investors had expressed an interest in the service, Adrian said.
