flights to N.Y. will begin again

JetBlue's daily nonstop flights between Sacramento International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York will resume Friday.

JetBlue halted Sacramento-New York flights in January, calling it a seasonal suspension that would be lifted in the spring.

"Connection with a financial and business center such as New York City is critical to ensure economic vitality in the region," said G. Hardy Acree, Sacramento airport director.

JetBlue flight 172 will depart Sacramento at 11:59 p.m. and arrive in New York at 8:14 a.m. Flight 171 leaves New York at 7:35 p.m., arriving in Sacramento at 11:08 p.m.
