London Gatwick expects boost flights

It is expected that may be larger number of people will taking flights to La Manga from London Gatwick Airport than usual this weekend, it has been suggested.

Gatwick is expecting to greet 325,000 passengers between Friday May 1st and Monday May 4th, with Alicante the fifth most in-demand destination.

As the airport is likely to be busier than normal, management has advised people to help keep the flow through security gates as smooth as possible by being prepared.

Staff at the London hub are bracing themselves for some busy shifts as they welcome bank holiday travellers, with trips to Alicante Airport, which serves La Manga, among the most popular.

For example, passengers are reminded that liquids may be carried in containers no larger than 100 ml. Otherwise, they should be placed in the suitcase when packing.

With summer approaching, those considering a Spanish holiday may like to book tennis holidays in La Manga Club - though with a year-round climate, there is no need to wait for the peak season to arrive.
