New cheap flights between Cyprus and Greece

AIRLINE passengers are welcoming the start of the new Aegean airlines flights between Paphos and Athens, which commenced yesterday.

Aegean Airlines new service will fly three times a week between Paphos and Athens on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Hermes airports spokesman Adam Aspris said: “I think it’s good news and we are very excited with this new development, and welcome the new service. We are sure that passenger traffic will respond positively and it will be well received."

In response to the rumours that even more flights are earmarked for Paphos, following outrage over Cyprus Airways plans to cancel its Athens flight, which was ultimately reversed, Aspris remained tight lipped.

"We continue our efforts to have new flights for both the airports of Paphos and Larnaca, and are working in close collaboration with all parties involved,” he said.

He concluded, "Aegean is a very professional carrier."

Hermes Airports CEO, Alfred Van Der Meer said he was delighted to see Aegean flying from Paphos.

" With this extra link, Aegean now offer travelers greater options for flights connecting Cyprus and Greece,” he said. Passengers will be able to travel either business or economy class.
