New cheap flights from Belfast to Tenerife launched

An increasing number of Northern Irish holidaymakers are expected to travel to Tenerife this autumn and winter, with the launch of a new route to the popular destination.

Jet2.com has announced the addition of new weekly flights between Belfast''s International airport and Tenerife from October 30th.

Best known for its beach resorts and vibrant night life, the Canary Island has long been a popular holiday spot for British sun-seekers of all ages.

Philip Meeson, head of Jet2.com, said: "Tenerife gives some of the best year round sun to help people get through the winter months.

"It is a beautiful island, which is hugely popular with holidaymakers from the UK … With plenty of scope for sightseeing, romantic breaks and all round fun in the sun, Tenerife makes the perfect destination for all."

With demand for holiday breaks abroad remaining buoyant despite the recession, travellers are advised to ensure they have adequate travel insurance cover before jetting off into the sunset.
