JetBlue thinks you might. The airline is offering a month of travel from Sept. 8 to Oct. 8 for a flat price of $599.
Even those pesky government fees and taxes are included in the price for domestic travel (not so for international flights to Puerto Rico -- expect to pay fees then).
But there are things that may financially fatten the airline's travel pass deal.
Don't book your flight more than three days in advance? That'll be a $100 charge.
Don't show up for your flight? That'll be a $100 no-show penalty.
Oddly, considering every airline's push to have everything accessible on their Web sites (lest you dare call them and incur a charge), JetBlue isn't offering the pass on its Web site or anywhere else in the Internets. Interested travelers must call 1-800-JETBLUE. Don't worry, the usual $15 phone booking charge is waived if you buy the pass.
The travel pass must also be purchased by Aug. 21.
For all the other fine-print terms and conditions go here.
"After Labor Day through early October is absolutely dead, especially to Florida where they have a lot of capacity. So, they know that bookings are low and this is a great way to goose some revenue without it being a traditional fare sale," he said in an e-mail.
