Four airlines add Super Bowl flights from Pittsburgh

Four airlines are adding flights from Pittsburgh to Florida to get Steelers fans to Tampa Bay for Super Bowl XLIII.

Pittsburgh International Airport spokesman Jeff Martinelli says the flights leave Pittsburgh beginning Jan. 29.

Southwest Airlines normally flies to Tampa 12 times a week and has added a flight on Jan. 31, a day before the Steelers and Arizona Cardinals play. Southwest says it has also added a flight from Phoenix to Tampa.

JetBlue does not fly from Pittsburgh to Tampa but will offer the service on Jan. 29 and Jan. 30. Myrtle Beach DirectAir also does not have a Pittsburgh-Tampa flight but will fly to St. Petersburg on Jan. 29.

Martinelli says USA3000 will add a seventh flight to Florida the week of the Super Bowl.
