Aer Arann London City flights to benefit business

NEW flight times to London for Aer Arann will mean Isle of Man business travellers can now arrive in the English capital before 9am.
The revised schedule, operating from the end of March, allows planes to leave Ronaldsway at 7.30am and arrive at 8.55am, offering an improved service for business passengers.

New time slots will also allow both half and full day London visits from the Island with an evening return arriving 15 minutes earlier than the previous schedule allowed, at 8.50pm.

The day's first flight from London to the Isle of Man will also leave earlier, departing London City airport at 9.25am and arriving at Ronaldsway at 10.50am.

This will allow day visitors from London six hours from arrival until check-in for their return flight.
Andrew Kelly, the airline's director of corporate affairs, said: 'The link between the Isle of Man and London City is key for business and also important for leisure passengers and that has been proven by the success of the service since its launch a couple of months ago.

'Our new slot times allow us to change our schedule in a way that will enhance the service we offer and assist commerce in the Island by making it possible for business travellers in both directions to make best use of normal business hours.'

Mr Kelly said the company also had an excellent punctuality record with the 100th consecutive on-time flight leaving the Island at the weekend.

Overall 92 per cent of departures were within five minutes of the allotted time and 98 per cent within 15 minutes.

Flights to London City leave the Isle of Man Monday to Saturday at 7.30am and return at 9.25am.

Monday to Friday and on Sundays, flights leave Ronaldsway for London City at 1.35pm and 5.35pm with return flights departing at 3.25pm and 7.30pm.
